
Viva l’Italia! Beauteous Music of the High Baroque

$25We celebrate the golden age of Italian string music, with a concert of vibrant sonatas for one and two violins from the High Baroque era. Withworks chiefly from Venice and the Veneto by Vivaldi, Albinoni, and Tartini, and other regions represented by Corelli and Geminiani. In addition, Consortium’s magnificent harpsichord will be heard in short solos by the Neapolitan composer Domenico Scarlatti, born the same year as J. S. Bach and Handel, and by Galuppi, from the island of Burano in the Venetian lagoon. We welcome back violinists Katie Stevens, Christopher Stork, harpsichordist Elizabeth Ganiatsos, and cellist Marc Palmquist.
Admission: $25 Adults / $15 Students / 11 and under free. Tickets will be available closer to the concert date.
