Martin Blanchet Jazz Quintet

There is a certain affinity between jazz and the music of the Baroque in which improvisation, both melodic and harmonic, plays an important role. Leader, double bassist, and vocalist Martin Blanchet, sets the mood with his mellow jazz arrangements, including spin-offs on Baroque and Classic tunes. He is joined by violinist Katie Stevens, clarinetist E-Chen Hsu, guitarist Mario Potestio, and percussionist Kevin Brohman.
